He has experience working with families in hospital and clinical settings. Gabriel's desire to help underserved families led him to complete an internship at Autism Community Network, where he conducted research with Latino families and was hired as the first bilingual occupational therapist. Gabriel's dedication to helping families aims to build trust and empowerment with the families we serve. < Back Cortney John, MA Chief Development & Outreach Officer Cortney John holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Mass Media from Angelo State University and a BA in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Cortney has spent the last ten years as a professional fundraiser in the Texas Hill Country and has worked throughout her professional career in crisis communication planning, marketing campaign management, and philanthropic fundraising. Cortney has served on multiple committees and councils in various roles from social outreach to communications chair. Understanding that the basis of all successful communication lies in relationship building is important to Cortney. A Rio Grande Valley native, Cortney now calls San Antonio home and spends much of her time exploring antique stores, estate sales, and finding new recipes to try. Martinez-Jimenez holds her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Ball State University, completed her BACB coursework from the University of North Texas and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Violence Prevention & Intervention Certificate from Our Lady of the Lake University. She has worked within the field of ABA for over 20 years and is dedicated to providing quality applied behavior analytic services. She has experience developing and providing ABA services with children, adolescents and adults within the home, clinic, school, and community settings. < Back Nicolle Reyna, MS CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist Nicolle Reyna holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Texas Woman's University, a BA in Psychology from the University of the Incarnate Word, and a special education teaching certificate from Region 20. Nicolle was a special education teacher for 13 years in Edgewood ISD and San Antonio ISD where she developed a passion for helping students reach their maximum potential with the mindset that ALL children can learn. Prior to ACN, Nicolle worked in Early Childhood Intervention ( ECI) for 10 years where she enjoyed meeting and working with so many wonderful children and their families. Nicolle is passionate about empowering parents and caregivers with the tools they need to help their child learn and grow since they know them best! When Nicolle is not devoting her time to her career, she can be found cheering on the Texas Tech Red Raiders (fan by marriage) and the San Antonio Spurs with her husband, daughter, and two dog children, Theo and Bentley. < Back Kathryn "Katie" Benson, MPA Director of Outreach and Education Kathryn “Katie” Benson has a Bachelors degree from Florida State University, and a Masters degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from the University of Texas Arlington. She spent 14 years total in the public education setting as a special education teacher. Ms. Benson’s other work experiences include volunteer coordinating for San Antonio events, directing and over-seeing productions at a local theatre, and managing community programs at another local non-profit. She is excited to be part of the ACN team, where she can use all of her myriad experiences in one place. < Back Anna Paola Smith, LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker Anna Paola Smith attended The University of Texas at Austin where she received her BA in Psychology and her Masters degree in Social Work. She has had the opportunity to work with children and families in the school, hospital, and clinical settings. Anna Paola's interests lie in family system and how the development of one child may impact the entire family unit. After living in Austin for 6 years, she relocated to San Antonio with her husband, Daniel. < Back Tiffany Fresher Chief Executive Officer Tiffany Fresher has been with Autism Community Network since 2016. Prior to her tenure at ACN, she served as Chief Financial Officer at the Jewish Federation of San Antonio/Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Vice-President of Operations and CFO at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, and worked in public accounting at two San Antonio firms in tax and auditing. Tiffany earned a BBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Tiffany, and her husband Mike, live in Fair Oaks Ranch and have five children between the two of them (kind of a Brady Bunch situation); two of whom are undergraduates at Texas Tech University and one in graduate school at the University of Connecticut. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, especially college football, enjoying her many animals, playing tennis, and spending time at the coast. She is very passionate about serving the children and families of San Antonio and South Texas.
