Programming for Early Reading Skills 

Date: July 7, 8:30-11:30 AM

Participants will identify (a) prerequisite and component skills of the alphabetic principal, (b) the role that visual stimulus control plays in early reading skills, (c) the role that auditory stimulus control plays in early reading skills, and (d) instructional programming according to behavioral principal.  

Presenter: Berenice de la Cruz, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Cost: $45/person/training; $75/person for 2 trainings on the same day
Late Registration (After 5pm the Wednesday prior to the Training): $55/person/training; $85/person for 2 trainings on the same day.

 

iPad Uses and Applications for Children with Autism 

Date: July 7, 12:30-3:30 PM

Participants will identify (a) iPad apps that can be used for educational and therapeutic purposes for children with autism spectrum disorders, (b) how iPads can be used as augmentative communication devices, (c) practical applications and strategies for utilizing iPads in therapeutic and educational settings, and (d) research support for the use of augmentative communication.
